 In the early 2000s, Gary made the decision to pivot his career by stepping away from an executive leadership role in hospitality management to begin his career in construction, building alongside other established contractors in the Valley. In 2008, he established his own niche luxury homebuilding company under the name of G.S. Fries Construction. Gary founded his Company with the vision of providing exceptional craftmanship in every home and building strong relationships with his clientele. Gary’s extensive career in hospitality and the development of unrivaled resort destinations provided the skills necessary to deliver world-class quality and experiences to his clients. He leads every construction process with customer care as the utmost priority and ensures that every vision manifests in the highest quality.

 Since 2008, GSFC has experienced significant growth stemming from consistent and unparalleled results. The Company has a reputation for impeccable quality with an enviable track record building exquisite homes in many of the finest communities including Silverleaf, DC Ranch, and Paradise Valley. In recent years, GSFC has experienced its largest expansion yet, being selected as the exclusive builder of The Ritz-Carlton Estate Homes in Paradise Valley. Today, the Company continues to set the bar on how luxury custom home construction should be done.

 Outside of his professional achievements, Gary is a devoted family man living in Scottsdale with his wife and their three daughters. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and often takes to the golf course to unwind and connect with friends.

COO / CFO

Bo is a seasoned financial executive with a comprehensive background in accounting, financial reporting, and risk management. As a key member of the leadership team, Bo brings a wealth of experience and strategic insight to her role, leveraging an extensive career in banking to drive organizational growth and financial integrity. Prior to joining the GS Fries Construction team, Bo served a bank director and the President/CEO of an Arizona community bank. Bo is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a master’s degree in accounting, along with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Political Science, and Philosophy, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her tenure as a bank director and executive leader allowed her to develop a deep understanding of financial systems, regulatory compliance, credit administration, and risk mitigation strategies that guide her dedication to fostering a culture of financial responsibility and transparency. A native of Oregon, Bo now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her husband Gary and their three daughters, Samantha, Ashley, and Jordan.

Director of Construction

As Director of Construction, Michael oversees and manages a diverse portfolio of projects. With a foundation in the construction industry that began immediately after high school, Michael honed his skills by leading concrete and framing crews. Since 2012, he has specialized in building custom homes and has successfully managed commercial ground-up projects, civil infrastructure, and major residential developments. Michael is driven by a passion for delivering results that exceed client expectations. He thrives on the challenge of piecing together complex projects and ensuring that each home is constructed to the highest standards. Outside of work, Michael is an avid country dancer, an accomplished Muay Thai fighter, and an enthusiastic horseback rider and golfer. He enjoys spending his free time with his two dogs and girlfriend, embracing both active pursuits and quality moments with loved ones.
